Ir. Tengku Kahar was appointed as Vice President, Strategy in January 2024, whereas prior, he has held the position of Vice President of Special Projects Office. Under his care, a number of major R&D project works were completed involving Hydrogen technologies and EV’s especially in the energy storage component. He led the development of a white paper to convert ICE to EV that was approved by the Government in 2023 which JPJ will soon adopt into new regulations. Prior to joining NanoMalaysia, he was with the Ministry of Transport in the Strategic Planning and International Division, transferred after the dissolution of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) in 2018.
