
Jeffrey Tan is a Senior Operations Officer for IFC’s Infrastructure and Natural Resources team in the Asia Pacific region.
As one of the leads for energy projects in the region, he has been actively involved in expanding energy infrastructure, focusing on developing sustainable power sources to meet growing demand, supporting the region's energy transition, exploring new decarbonization solutions, while advancing energy access and job creation. His team supports project development workingwith the private sector through financial support, technical analysis, capacity building, as well as advocating for policy enhancement in sectors ranging from renewable energy generation, corporate power purchase, cross-border energy exchange, to solutions such as energy storage systems or carbon capture and storage (CCS).
Jeff has over two decades’ experience in the energy sector, especially in renewable energy, spanning project management, project and business development, as well as strategy and M&A. A civil engineer by training, Jeff also holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
