Ahmad Fairuz Abd Jamil is currently the Head of Market Operation of Single Buyer. He is responsible to oversee the electricity market operation in Peninsular Malaysia which includes operation forecasting, operation scheduling, managing the NEDA market and operationalising various green programs such as CGPP, CRESS and CREAM.
He received his BEng. in Electrical Electronic from Universiti Tenaga Nasional in year 2003 and MSc in Energy Systems and the Environment for University of Strathclyde, UK in 2007.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the electricity industry. Prior to joining the market operation unit in year 2022, he served as a long-term planning engineer in Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and Single Buyer. He actively involved in system planning activities, supporting the formulation of energy policy and framework as well as driving various studies for the industry.
