Puteri Sarah Karina is a seasoned legal and sustainability leader with over 20 years of experience spanning litigation, corporate acquisitions, Data Privacy and ESG strategy. A law graduate from IIUM and an advocate and solicitor since 2003, she has led high-impact legal initiatives including a RM98 million minority interest resolution and a RM1.02 billion acquisition.
As Head of Sustainability and Data Protection at IHH Healthcare Malaysia, Puteri founded the ESG Department in 2021, embedding sustainability into business strategy and operations. Her initiatives include eliminating single-use plastics across 17 hospitals, deploying solar energy with a zero CAPEX model in over nine hospitals, and driving carbon reduction across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
With an MBA in International Business and a thesis on circular economy readiness, Puteri continues to champion responsible business practices, inclusive leadership, and environmental stewardship. Her motto, “Together is Better,” reflects her collaborative approach to creating meaningful change in healthcare and beyond.
