Professional background
Chetna has more than 12 years of experience in providing various types of climate change advisory, assurance and ESG services to public listed, privately held companies and subsidiaries of MNCs in various industries, including power and utilities, shipping, construction, property development, manufacturing and trading entities, retail, hotel operations, healthcare, asset management and education.
Selected professional experience
She led the development of a national power utility company’s long term sustainability pathway and strategy which included stakeholder management, climate scenario modelling, assessments on climate change strategies and targets.
Led climate change advisory for a leading integrated palm oil company aligning to Science-based targets (SBTi) including emissions review, climate scenario modelling, climate risks and opportunities assessment and carbon reduction roadmap.
Advised the sector decarbonization pathway and targets of a local bank for the energy, palm oil, transport, oil & gas and real estate sectors.
Contributed to the development on EY Malaysia’s climate risks barometer based on TCFD framework.
Assisted clients in the development of sustainability framework, sustainability charter, facilitated KPI visioning workshops, advisory on sustainability ratings and mapping Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) to business strategy and initiatives.
Advised clients on sustainability reporting, particularly on assessing current state, visioning a future state and crafting a roadmap, stakeholder engagement and materiality reviews, developing sustainability reports and providing training and awareness to both Senior Managements and BODs.
Worked closely with a regulator in the development of the Illustrative Sustainability Report published in 2023.
Facilitated training workshops on behalf of stock exchange with more than 30 participants to guide the measurement of GHG emissions. Participants include middle management from public listed companies (e.g., finance sector and industrial sector).
Provided integrated reporting advisory services based on the IIRC Framework and MCCG related advisory services on corporate governance reporting.
